In this first of 3 DVDs Master Sueyoshi teaches us the Art of Iaido; the art of 'cutting unsheathing'.Kamae; Kumidachi; basic combat techniques; special techniques and formality of rules. It is an essential DVD for any martial artist who wants to take down his beautiful saber off the wall and learn how to use it. The second DVD is dedicated to the Sen No Sen and Go No Sen techniques against Seigan in all of its variations; against Jodan and against Hasso. In the third DVD Master Sueyoshi Akeshi uncovers for us methods of training special and new techniques; which on this particular occasion are nearer to the ancient forms of the style. We will study the training for the development of sensibility and balance with 'Pyon-Pyon' (spring boots) and with Getta;the traditional Japanese footwear; as well as new stretching exercises. We will analyze new Kumi-Dachi; Tomoenuki and their variants techniques for use against two opponents; Haia-Nuke or fast unsheathing; the Idari Wuki or work with the left side of the body to correct the imbalances and strengthen the normal unsheathinng; and surprising exercices to improve the notions of distance and speed; like the one where you drop a banana and then with the same hand unsheathe...and cut it before it gets to the floor!
